"Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember, although
I was temporarily (for 15 years) dissuaded from ever considering it
as a career; up until I had finished my college degree in computer
science (with a BFA on the side), and came to the realization that I
really did not want my art to be "just a hobby." And so I started
working on it in earnest. Over the past two years, my portfolio
has been expanding into the realms of fantasy, mythology, and the
surreal.
"Most of my inspiration comes from mythology and legend, ranging
through various cultures -- Celtic, Greek, Roman, Indian, and Chinese
to name a few. I have also been greatly influenced by the art of the
Impressionists, Pre-Raphaelites and Surrealists, along with current
popular fantasy artists. What I try to convey with my art, is not
simply fantasy, but the fantastic, the sense of wonder, and that which
is sacred."
